If you are looking for resort style living, you may want to head east. As in East Mesa. Mesa follows the rest of the Phoenix Metropolitan area, spreading out and not up. In general, if you live east of Mesa Drive, you’re in East Mesa. West of Mesa Drive, and you’ll call West Mesa your home.
Mesa has been growing East for quite a while, but the newest townhomes and condos homes and condos are working their way towards the mountains. The Usery Mountains provide a stunning backdrop for East Mesa condo owners. The mountain views, which also include the rugged Superstition range further east, are an added incentive for homeowners to live in this part of town. In addition, the Usery Mountain Regional Park is a haven for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.
In addition to the added value of mountain views (the west side of Mesa can be rather flat), the developments in East Mesa have some top notch amenities that are attracting buyers. Here are a few options:
Tuscany Villas at Painted Mountain was part of the recent expansion to the east. Built in 2009, these townhome-style condos are in a gated resort community. Surrounded by the Painted Mountain Golf Course, many townhomes feature spectacular golf course views. Condos offer gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances, spacious great rooms, separate laundry rooms, elegant foyers, and covered terraces replete with built-in barbeques and fire pits. Community amenities include an 18-hole championship golf course, a swimming pool and spa, a sport court, billiard area, and media center. This development is inside the 202, so it's close to all Mesa has to offer while still being a short drive from the mountain areas for hiking.
If you're looking for a resort-style community with a ton of outdoor activities, consider the Las Sendas master planned community. Cachet at Las Sendas has it's own charms, with a giant resort-style pool and fitness center that is an easy walk from all of these villas. But you also have the wider world of Las Sendas that includes golf, tennis, spa, basketball and miles of hiking trails. Las Sendas is located outside of the 202, and against the mountains, giving residents a view every day.
Cachet at Las Sendas has multiple floorplan choices, from a one-level condo with a balcony to 2-story townhomes with patios and balconies.
Commutes to Scottsdale and Tempe are easy from East Mesa, but you won't feel close to town when the desert beauty and the manicured greens are everywhere around you. There are a few other resort style condo and townhome communities in the area.
