No longer the best-kept secret in the East Valley, Chandler is on the verge of another building boom. The last explosion came in the 1980s and 90s when the former hay capital started feeling the influence of employers like Intel, Orbital-ATK and Microchip. These and other companies provided a number of relatively high-paying jobs, increasing the need for upscale single-family homes, condos and apartments. New condo building in Chandler is simmering again as developers see the future job growth for the next 10 years predicted at almost 40 percent. The city is expected to grow by 50,000 people over the next 15 years, so expect to see plenty of listings for new condos in Chandler.

One of the newer condo communities is Serenity Shores at Fulton Ranch. Originally opened in 2006, this upscale development in south Chandler recently opened brand new models featuring four different floor plans ranging up to 1,890 square feet. The Serenity Villas smallest unit is 1,350 square feet on a single level with two bedrooms and two baths. It features a great room concept with an optional fireplace and a private balcony off the master bedroom.

The 1,760 square foot model is also a single level with the master bedroom and two smaller bedrooms separated by a large great room and kitchen. This model also has a den and a large covered patio off the great room. Two-story Villas come in two and three bedroom configurations. All units have two car garages attached and come with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and modern fixtures and finishes throughout.

Serenity Shores at Fulton Ranch is a master-planned community that features lakes, streams and waterfalls all woven around miles of hiking and biking trails. This lushly-landscaped community is inspired by age-old European architecture with stately towers, cobblestone bridges and soaring designs that provide both a feeling of luxury and belonging. Less than a mile from three different championship golf courses, Serenity Shores is located conveniently close to a number of fine restaurants, a large mall and plenty of boutique shopping opportunities.

For spacious new condos in Chandler with upscale finishes, the recently completed Plaza condos in western Chandler offer bright open floor plans with large balconies and plenty of community amenities. Built by Ryland Homes, they are similar to the company’s Princess Enclave development in north Scottsdale, but at a lower price. These three bedroom townhomes are three stories tall and come with a two car garage. The balcony, terrace and backyard add up to an additional 1,000 square feet of outdoor space to entertain or just enjoy the Arizona weather.

One of the newer and most reasonably priced new condo developments in Chandler is the Cays at Downtown Ocotillo.  This midrise condo development is arranged in a semi-circle around the resort style pool area. And because the Cays is part of the master planned Ocotillo development, you'll be right next to lakes and golf course and neighborhood shopping too. Prices start in the mid $200's to the upper $300's.  The developer building this community is Statesman, responsible for the hugely popular Toscana of Desert Ridge.
